Ways Apple Avoids Accountability

Apple's been known to try to prevent us from ever going to the government or court (examples):
  • Never informing us of our rights under labor or employment laws, or how/when to contact the government
  • Overly restrictive employee policies that make us feel like we can't report anything at all
  • Claiming NDAs prohibit us from reporting real issues related to surveillance, safety, fraud, financial crimes, etc
  • Suggesting medical leave or ADA accommodations as a "remedy" for issues like discrimination or unsafe work conditions

  • Using indefinite paid administrative leave to try to run out the clock on statute of limitations and/or get us to quit so they don't have to fire us
  • Retaliating against employees who raise concerns: investigating them, forcing them on admin leave, & firing them with an option to get a small severance if they sign an NDA & litigation waiver
  • Blocking employees, who report unresolved issues, from transferring to other teams, so the employee feels forced to quit
Apple appears to use lobbying, revolving doors, calling in favors, & other tactics to try to coerce the government to squash our cases & retaliate against us on Apple's behalf (examples):
  • Pushing us not to file charges
  • Pushing us to withdraw filed charges
  • Telling us (incorrectly) our cases don't have merit
  • Improperly influencing testimony
  • Not allowing us to provide evidence
  • Parroting Apple's excuses & justifications without investigation
  • Refusing to tell us what evidence is provided against us
  • Not interviewing witnesses
  • Delaying the process in hope we give up
  • Blocking us from expanding our charges (to a class action, or to include policies, etc)
